Pickled onion with ginger

Pickled onion is can be used for almost every dish you make with it’s freshness!

Ingredients

  • 2 dl vinegar 7%
  • 400 g sugar
  • 6 dl water
  • 3 x red onion
  • ginger

Method

  1. Boil vinegar, water, sugar and a piece of ginger.
  2. While the mixture is boiling, cut the onion in half and chop it into pieces.
  3. Pull the casserole aside and add onion. Stir well and cool down.
  4. Pour the onion into desinfected and airtight container to preserve it the best possible way. It’s important to cover the onion with the vinegar solution to prevent dryness.
