Steak with Spicy Cucumber Salad and Rice

Korean food is always a good idea and I really love this simple dish. So tasty and healthy.

Ingredients

    Cucumber salad:

  • ½ x cucumber
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ clove garlic
  • ½ tsp chili flakes
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 3 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar

    Steak:

  • 125 g beef

    Marinade for the meat:

  • 1 tsp honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ clove garlic
  • ¼ tsp sriracha

    Rice:

  • 1 dl rice

Method

  1. Rince and chop the cucumber into pieces. Add salt and mix well. Leave for 30 minutes and pour off excess liquid.
  2. To a small bowl, combine minced garlic, crushed chili flakes, honey, lime juice, sesame oil and apple cider vinegar. Pour this over the cucumber salad and combine.
  3. Rinse the rice and cook according to the instructions on the package.
  4. Heat a frying pan with neutral oil to high heat. Fry the meat on all sides and toss in a dollop of butter. Lower the heat slightly and pour over the fat until the meat is cooked through. This usually takes 3-4 minutes, depending on how well done you want the meat to be.
  5. Top the dish with sesame seeds for your pleasure. Enjoy!
