Noodles with Sticky Hoisin Meatballs

These meatballs are filled with Asian-inspired flavors and tossed with an easy hoisin sticky glaze. Simple everyday dinner if you want to make something easy that not take to long, but have plenty of flavors.

Ingredients

  • 400 g chicken mince
  • 2 pinch panko
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp chili flakes
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 3 clove garlic
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp sriracha
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 handful fresh coriander
  • 1 pinch thai basil
  • ½ dl hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 pack noodles

Method

  1. Combine all meatball ingredients in a large bowl and mix just until combined. Roll into meatball and set it aside on a plate.
  2. Add a little oil in a pan on high heat, and fry the meatballs so they get a nice crust on all sides. Put them in an ovenproof dish, and set aside. Then, turn the heat down to medium in the same pan you fried the meatballs and add Hoisin and Honey. The sauce will thicken slightly and get sticky after a couple of minutes. Then you pour the sticky glaze over the meatballs and bake them in the oven at 200 degrees for about 10 minutes until they are cooked through.
  3. Boil the noodles with water and salt, then pour off the water and put them in the pan where you made the glaze so that it sticks to the noodles. Strain the meatballs onto the noodles, and sprinkle over some extra sesame seeds, some coriander and some finely chopped Thai basil.
