Pickled onion is can be used for almost every dish you make with it’s freshness!
Ingredients
- 2 dl vinegar 7%
- 400 g sugar
- 6 dl water
- 3 x red onion
- ginger
Method
- Boil vinegar, water, sugar and a piece of ginger.
- While the mixture is boiling, cut the onion in half and chop it into pieces.
- Pull the casserole aside and add onion. Stir well and cool down.
- Pour the onion into desinfected and airtight container to preserve it the best possible way. It’s important to cover the onion with the vinegar solution to prevent dryness.
