Ingredients
- 50 g rice
- 100 g tofu
- ½ tbsp corn starch
- ½ tbsp sesame oil
- ¼ x green pepper
- ¼ x red pepper
- ¼ dl soy sauce
- ½ tbsp agave sirup
- ¼ dl water
- ½ tsp chili flakes
- ¼ tbsp ginger
- ¾ clove garlic
- 1 x spring onion
Method
- We are using extra firm tofu in this recipe. If you don't have agave sirup on hand, you can use maple sirup.
- Cook your rice according to package instructions.
- Press out water from your tofu block using a cloth.
- Chop the tofu into sticks and toss them in half of the cornstarch.
- Fry your tofu in some sesame oil until golden brown.
- Add sliced bell pepper to the pan and fry for another 5 minutes.
- Make the sauce by mixing together soy sauce, agave sirup, water, the rest of the cornstarch, minced ginger and minced garlic to a bowl.
- Add the sauce to the pan and let it thicken for a couple of minutes.
- Top with spring onion, serve with rice and enjoy!
