Okra Chips

Ingredients

  • 250 g okra
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp coriander powder
  • 3 tbsp chickpea flour
  • 300 g sun flower oil

Method

  1. Rinse the okra well with water and dry them off with a paper towel.
  2. Cut off the ends and divide each okra into two or four parts lengthwise. You can choose whether you want to remove the seeds or not.
  3. Mix the okra, spices, salt and flour to a bowl. Let it rest for approx. 10 min.
  4. Then you heat oil either in a fryer or a saucepan. Fry the okra sticks golden. Take them up with a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with kitchen paper so that the paper absorbs excess oil.
  5. Served with yoghurt and sour cream dressing, or desired accessories.
