Ingredients
- 2 x yellow onion
- 1 handful parsley
- 400 g lamb mince
- 4 tbsp rice
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp salt
- 3 tbsp sun flower oil
- 400 g water
- 150 g chana dal
Method
- Grate half the amount of the onion, mince the parsley and mix it with the minced meat, rice, half of the turmeric, pepper and salt.
- Knead all the ingredients and make small meatballs.
- Chop the rest of the onion. Heat the oil in a saucepan. Fry the onion a little and add the turmeric and fry the onion golden, take it out and set it aside.
- In the same pan, add the rest of the ingredients. Then carefully place the meatballs in the pan. Season with salt. Put the lid on and let it all cook on medium heat for 45 minutes.
- Before serving, top the dish with the fried onion.
- Enjoy with flatbread or rice.
