Ginger Turmeric Shot

An easy recipe perfect for cold days or if you’re feeling a bit under the weather. This Ginger Turmeric Shot reduces inflammation and nausea, helps with digestion and can reduce pain.

Ingredients

  • 300 g ginger
  • 100 g turmeric
  • 2 x organic lemon
  • 2 x organic orange
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 8 dl water

Method

  1. Peel the lemons and the oranges. Coarsely chop the ginger and turmeric.
  2. Add all the ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend on high for 1 min.
  3. Strain through a clean thin dish towel, small fine mesh strainer or nut milk bag. Be aware that turmeric can stain.
  4. Enjoy immediately or store covered in the refrigerator for about a week.
  5. Leftover pulp: Refrigerate and use it to make a delicious, warming tea or freeze into an ice cube tray and add to future smoothies.
