This isn't exactly a Norwegian dish, but rather a good mix of Chinese wonton wrappers, Mexican flavors with an American twist. Haha! I had these many years ago in Virginia, and had actually forgotten how good they were until I saw them again on Pinterest ;) Perfect for an evening snack, party appetizer, or a cozy dinner for one.
Ingredients
- 12 x wonton pastry wrappers
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp cream cheese
- 2 handful cheddar cheese
- 3 x jalapeño
- ½ x lime
- 1 x avocado
- 10 x plum tomato
- 1 x spring onion
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- Brush both sides of the wonton pastry wrappers with olive oil, and place them in a muffin tin. I prefer using a steel or silicone mold for this dish. Bake them in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, grated cheddar cheese, and finely chopped jalapeños. Divide the mixture into the wonton cups, and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
- To another bowl, mix finely chopped avocado, plum tomatoes, spring onion, and lime juice. Season with pepper and sea salt.
- Top the wonton cups with guacamole and squeezed lime juice. Oh, so delicious!
