Spiced Soy Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 thumb ginger
  • 1 x lemon grass
  • 1 x red chili
  • 2 handful fresh coriander
  • 4 dl soy sauce with less salt
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 x lime

Method

  1. Peel the ginger and grate it on the finest part of the grater, do the same with lemongrass.
  2. Mince red chilli and coriander.
  3. Add soy sauce and sugar to a small saucepan together with chilli, ginger and lemongrass. Heat gently until the sugar has dissolved and set aside.
  4. To the pot squeeze the lime juice and add the minced coriander. It is now ready to serve.
  5. If you want to make it in advance of serving, wait to add the lime and coriander. Otherwise, it will feel a bit sloppy.
