Ingredients
- 4 slices bread
- 300 g frozen peas
- ½ x red onion
- 1 clove garlic
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- ¼ x lime
- ¼ x romaine lettuce
- ¼ dl sour cream
- 25 g tortilla chips
Method
- For this dinner we used pickled red onion and pickled radish that were made earlier in the weekly menu.
- Crumble half the sliced bread into crumbs and fry in a frying pan until the bread crumbs turn golden.
- Thaw the peas by soaking them in boiling water for about 1 minute.
- Cut the red onion and garlic, and add to a food prosessor together with the peas, bread crumbs, salt, pepper, olive oil and lime juice. Mix until you have a smooth dough (you can mash everything by hand if you don't have a food prosessor).
- Form the dough into burgers, and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake in the middle of the oven at 225 degrees celcius for about 20 minutes. Turn halfway.
- Serve the pea burgers on the remaining slices of bread together with sour cream, lettuce, tortilla chips, pickled red onion and pickled radish.
