No-Knead Dutch Oven Bread

Ingredients

  • 7 dl oats
  • 7 dl plain white flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dry yeast
  • 6 dl water

Method

  1. Grind the oats in a blender until they've turned into flour.
  2. Combine flour, oat flour, salt, dry yeast and cold water in a bowl.
  3. Leave the dough to rise on the kitchen counter overnight.
  4. The next morning, shape the dough into a round loaf and leave it to rise on a baking sheet. Preheat an iron pot with the lid on in the oven at 250 degrees celsius for about half an hour.
  5. Carefully take the iron pot out of the oven and transfer the baking sheet with the bread into it. Put the lid on and bake in the oven at 250 degrees celsius for about 30 minutes.
  6. Remove the lid and cook for another 15 minutes. Once finished, let the bread cool on a cooling rack.
