Ingredients
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 ½ x yellow onion
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 dl dry white wine
- 5 dl water
- 1 x vegetable bouillon
- 1 x slice of bread
- 1 handful shredded parmesan
Method
- Mince the garlic and onion. In a pan with butter, fry together until soft.
- Add white wine. If you don't have white wine, you can replace it with beer or dry cider.
- Add water and vegetable bouillon.
- Let it simmer for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Make croutons. Dice the bread and fry it in olive oil and butter with your favorite spices until golden.
- Add the onion soup to an ovenproof soup bowl, add in croutons and top with parmesan. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes until the cheese turns golden.
- Enjoy!
