Flatbread with Thyme and Sea Salt

Fancy flatbread with thyme and sea salt, baked with sourdough. These are super easy to make and are absolutely perfect on the tapas table with Parma ham and tapenade.

Ingredients

  • 250 g water
  • 100 g sourdough starter
  • 500 g plain white flour
  • 20 g olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp thyme
  • 1 tbsp sea salt

Method

  1. Mix the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  2. Roll it out into thin flakes of 1 mm thickness.
  3. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with fresh thyme and sea salt.
  4. Heat the baking steel in the oven until it is completely heated and place the flatbreads on it. Bake for approximately 10 minutes at 240 degrees. Watch the cooking time so they don't burn. And voila, slightly more fancy flatbread is done and ready to eat.
