Ingredients
- 100 g macaroni
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp plain white flour
- 1 dl dry white wine
- 2 dl milk
- 1 x egg white
- 1 handful grated cheese
- 2 x salmon fillet
- 1 x carrot
- ½ x lemon
Method
- Prepare the macaroni as directed on the package.
- Make the sauce. Melt the butter to a saucepan and add the flour. Let it cook a bit before adding dry white wine. (You can omit the wine if you don't have it, but it adds a very good flavor to the fish gratin.) You can replace the wine with an equal amount of milk.
- Add milk. Stir until you have a lump-free sauce. Season with salt and pepper, and add grated cheese.
- Add egg whites to a bowl and whip until ut has become fluffy. You can use the yolk in another recipe, e.g. "Gluten-free cookie for one".
- Dice the salmon fillet into pieces and place them to the bowl of egg white. Add the sauce and ready-cooked macaroni. Combine.
- Grease an ovenproof dish with butter, and add fish batter to the dish. Top with grated cheese and bake at 200 degrees celsius for 30 minutes.
- Grate carrot and top with lemon juice. Serve as soon as the gratin is ready.
