White Bean Shakshuka


  • 1 clove garlic
  • ½ x red onion
  • 100 g cherry tomatoes
  • 150 g pizza sauce
  • 200 g white beans
  • 3 x eggs
  • 3 tbsp fresh basil


  1. Mince the garlic and red onion, and halve the cherry tomatoes.
  2. Fry the garlic and red onion in a frying pan with a little oil or butter until the onion is soft.
  3. Add cherry tomatoes and continue to cook until they burst
  4. Add pizza sauce and white beans and simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Create holes in the tomato sauce for the eggs, and crack them into each hole. Reduce the heat, put the lid on, and let the eggs cook for about 7 minutes.
  6. Top with basil and season with salt and pepper. Serve with bread.
