Ingredients

  • 1 x yellow onion
  • 2 clove garlic
  • 250 g spinach
  • 150 g feta cheese
  • 6 x phyllo dough
  • 100 g sun flower oil
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 pinch chili flakes
  • 1 pinch salt

Method

  1. Chop onion, garlic and spinach.
  2. Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the onion until it softens and gets a little color. Add garlic and cook for a few seconds. Add spinach and stir. Then add pepper and chili flake. Stir and cook until the spinach is soft. Season with salt. Set aside to cool.
  3. Mix spinach and feta cheese.
  4. Set the oven to 175 degrees. Top and bottom heat.
  5. Take a sheet of phyllo dough and brush well with oil. Place another sheet of phyllo dough on top of the first. brush with oil. Using scissors or a sharp knife, divide the phyllo dough sheets into four equal strips.
  6. At one side place a tablespoon of filling.
  7. From one corner, fold a triangle towards the edge of the opposite side and then fold it in the same shape until you reach the end.
  8. Repeat with remaining phyllo dough and filling.
  9. Brush the top with oil and place on a baking sheet.
  10. Bake in the middle of the oven for approx. 20 minutes or until golden.
