
Pickled red onion is suitable as a side dish for so many things. For the burger, grilled food or avocado toast. In the refrigerator, it will have a shelf life of about 2 weeks.
Ingredients
- 1 x red onion
- 1 dl water
- ½ dl sugar
- ½ dl apple cider vinegar
Method
- Peel and slice the red onion.
- Boil water, take the pot off the stove and add sugar and apple cider vinegar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
- In a clean glass, add sliced red onion. Pour over the brine and let it cool in the fridge. Can be used already after 30 minutes, but is best the next day.
