This breakfast pizza is more than just a good start to the day—it's a morning delight. While perfect for breakfast, it's also suitable for dinner, exuding a laid-back "late breakfast" vibe. You can prepare the pizza dough the night before, just use a teaspoon of dry yeast instead of fresh yeast.
Ingredients
- 3 ½ dl plain white flour
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 ½ dl lukewarm water
- 15 g yeast
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 dl creme fraiche
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 pinch black pepper
- 1 tsp sriracha
- 2 x aromatic mushroom
- 2 x eggs
- 1 handful parmesan
Method
- Utilize a stand mixer, if available. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Dissolve the yeast in lukewarm water, then add olive oil and stir. Incorporate the yeast mixture into the flour and knead the dough for 10 minutes. Allow it to rise under a cloth or cover for 1 hour.
- Preheat the oven to 250°C (480°F).
- Roll out the dough and shape it into an ellipse (oval shape).
- Tip: In the absence of crème fraîche, sour cream, cream cheese, or soft cheese can serve as suitable substitutes.
- Mix the crème fraîche with finely chopped garlic, pepper, and sriracha (if using).
- Evenly spread the mixture over the dough, then prick the base with a fork. Pre-bake the pizza crust for 7-8 minutes.
- Slice the mushrooms and sauté them in butter with a dash of salt and pepper.
- Once the pizza crust is pre-baked, top it with cracked eggs, sautéed mushrooms, and grated parmesan cheese. Bake until the pizza achieves a golden brown hue.
- Garnish with fresh herbs and serve alongside chilled butter for a delectable morning experience.
