Meatballs with Homemade Tzatziki

Ingredients

  • ¼ x red onion
  • ½ clove garlic
  • 100 g minced meat
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tbsp oregano
  • 1 tbsp water
  • ¼ x cucumber
  • ½ dl greek yogurt
  • ½ tsp olive oil

Method

  1. This recipe is perfect to make for tapas or brunch and serve together with other recipes.
  2. Mince the red onion and half of the garlic. Add to a bowl together with the mince, salt, pepper, oregano and water. Mix well with a fork.
  3. Form the dough into balls and fry in a pan until all sides turn golden.
  4. Bake the meatballs in the oven at 200 degrees celcius for about 15 minutes until they are baked through.
  5. Grate the cucumber and add to a kitchen towel. Squeeze out as much of the water from the cucumber as you can.
  6. Add the cucumber to a bowl together with greek yoghurt, the rest of the garlic and olive oil. Mix together and add salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve the meatballs warm or cold together with the tzatziki.
