Norwegian Meat Soup

ingredienser

  • ½ x yellow onion
  • 3 x potatoes
  • 3 x carrot
  • 150 g beef strips
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp plain white flour
  • 5 dl beef broth
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp black pepper

fremsgangsmåte

  1. Dice onions, potatoes and carrots.
  2. Brown the onions and steak strips in a saucepan. Once the steak strips have a nice crust (but are still rare inside), remove the meat and onion from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same saucepan, brown the butter. Then add flour, stir well and simmer until golden brown.
  4. Stir in the beef broth little by little. Next, stir in black pepper, soy sauce and oyster sauce.
  5. To the soup, add the cooked meat, carrots and potatoes. Let the soup cook with the lid on for about 30 minutes.
