Whole Grain Ham and Cheese Rolls

  • 7 dl whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 pack dry yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 dl lukewarm water
  • 100 g cheese
  • 50 g ham

  1. Combine wholemeal flour, dry yeast, salt and lukewarm water in a bowl and knead the dough for about 10 minutes. Let the dough proof for 45-60 minutes.
  2. Roll the dough out into a large circle, like a pizza crust. Slice the dough into 6 or 8 pieces like a pizza. Place cheese, ham and your herbs/spices of choice (for example: piffi, pizza seasoning or Herbes de Provence) at the wide end of each slice. Roll the triangles up like croissants, starting with the wide end.
  3. Let the rolls rise on a baking tray lined with baking paper for about 30 minutes. Next, bake at 200 degrees celsius for about 15 minutes.
