Swede Waffle with Sour Cream and Norwegian Cured Meat

ingredients

  • 2 x eggs
  • 1 1/2 dl plain white flour
  • 1 1/2 dl mashed swede
  • 1/4 x red onion
  • 1/2 dl 35% fat sour cream
  • 50 g Norwegian cured meat

method

  1. Whisk eggs to a bowl and add the mashed swede. Fold in the flour and let the batter swell for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Fry the batter in a waffle iron with plenty of butter until the waffles have a golden brown color.
  3. Chop the red onion.
  4. Serve swede waffle in hearts topped with sour cream, Norwegian cured meat and red onion. A perfect appetizer for any Christmas party!
