Super-Easy Pear Pastries with Marzipan and Blue Cheese

  • 2 x puff pastry sheet
  • 40 g blue cheese
  • 100 g marzipan
  • 1 x pear

method

  1. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees (430F) and cover a baking tray with a baking sheet. Slice the pastry sheets in half, creating four equal squares. Place a piece of blue cheese in the centre of each square.
  2. Slice the marzipan or grate it if it’s particularly firm. Distribute among the four squares, on top of the blue cheese and preferably covering the entire surface of the squares.
  3. Cut the pear into thin slices and place on top of the marzipan. You might have to cut off the ends of the slices to fit the square shape.
  4. Move the pastries onto the baking sheet and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes – they should be golden around the edges. Let them cool down for about 5 minutes afterwards and serve while warm and gooey😊
