Saffron buns for campfires
Do this at home: Make the dough and pack your bags. Bring some flour outside as well to work with.


  • 8 dl plain white flour
  • 1 dl sugar
  • 1 tsp cardamom
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 g saffron
  • 5 tbsp butter
  • 2 dl whole milk
  • 1 handful raisins


  1. Mix all the dry ingredients with milk. Add extra flour if needed.
  2. When you've lit the campfire, start by rolling out a handful dough. Shape it to the standard "S" shape and add a raisin in each end. Add it at the end of a stick and bake it on the campfire. Avoid direct flames.
