Homemade Green Pea Soup
Looking for a cheap dinner with delicious taste? Look no further – Pea soup tastes really good! If you have a small leftover splash of white wine in the fridge, it works very well as a flavoring here. ;) In Norway, it is very popular to serve pancakes as side to this dish. ingredients

  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 x yellow onion
  • 5 dl water
  • 1 x vegetable bouillon
  • 350 g frozen peas
  • 1/2 x lemon
  • 2 tbsp sour cream

method

  1. Mince the garlic and onion. Heat a pan with butter and fry the onion until soft.
  2. If you have a pint of dry white wine, this is the perfect time to use it. About 1 dl per serving.
  3. Add water and vegetable bouillon. Bring to the boil and simmer until the bouillon cube has dissolved.
  4. Add frozen green peas and bring to a boil. Then simmer for 5 minutes before taking the pot off the stove. Pour over the squeezed lemon juice and blend the soup with an immersion blender. Serve immediately topped with a dollop of sour cream and olive oil.
