Nouc Cham Salad

ingredients

  • 1 x broccoli stalk
  • 1/2 x cucumber
  • 1 thumb ginger
  • 1 x red chili
  • 2 tbsp roasted sesame seeds
  • 1 pack bean sprouts
  • 6 tbsp fish sauce
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 x lime

method

  1. Lightly peel the broccoli stalk, preferably using a mandolin to make long thin strips of the broccoli stalk and cucumber. If you do not have a mandolin, you can cut it by hand as thin as you can.
  2. Grate the ginger, mince the chili and mix everything in a bowl. Squeeze the lime juice over and mix together. Let it marinate a little before serving. Top it with fresh herbs such as coriander, chervil or parsley.
