Norwegian Reindeer Stew

Norwegian Reindeer Stew
Note: We are using leftover mushroom soup in this recipe that were made earlier this Weekly Menu.


  • 1 x shallots
  • 150 g reindeer filet
  • 3 x potatoes
  • 1 tbsp lingonberry jam
  • 1/2 dl heavy cream
  • 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper


  1. Cut shallots into strips and fry in a pot together with some butter until the onion turn soft.
  2. Add the chopped reindeer meat, and fry in the pot until almost cooked through. Meanwhile, you can cut the potatoes into cubes.
  3. Add the potatoes, lingonberry jam, leftover mushroom soup and cream, and let simmer for 25-30 minutes or until the potatoes are done.
  4. Add soy sauce and pepper to taste, and serve.
