Norwegian ‘Havreflarn’ with Chocolate

ingredients

  • 100 g butter
  • 200 g oats
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 x eggs
  • 100 g dark baking chocolate

method

  1. Melt butter and pour into a bowl along with half of the oatmeal. Mix together and set aside.
  2. Beat eggs and sugar until eggy.
  3. Add the oatmeal and butter into the egg mixture.
  4. Run the remaining oatmeal in a blender until it has turned into flour. Add the oatmeal to the bowl along with the rest of the ingredients.
  5. Use a tablespoon to spread the batter on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, keeping a good distance between the biscuits. Bake in the centre of the oven at 190 degrees celsius for about 6-8 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
  6. Melt dark cooking chocolate over a water bath, and drizzle melted chocolate over the oatmeal cookies. Store in a box with a lid.
