Mac & Cheese

ingredients

  • 150 g cauliflower
  • 150 g broccoli
  • 150 g diced bacon
  • 3 dl heavy cream
  • 3 tbsp cream cheese
  • 250 g cheese
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt

method

  1. Set the oven to 200 degrees celsius (top and bottom heat).
  2. Boil water and cut the cauliflower and broccoli into small florets and place them to the water for about 2 minutes.
  3. To a pan, fry the bacon.
  4. Add the cream cheese and cream to a saucepan and whisk until it begins to simmer, add the stir in 150 grams of grated cheese and set it aside.
  5. Drain the water from the freshly pulled cauliflower and broccoli and pour them into an ovenproof dish (approx. 15 X 30 cm size).
  6. Pour over the white cheese sauce and mix it into the vegetables.
  7. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Top with fried bacon and grated cheese.
  9. Place in the middle of the oven and bake until the cheese is melted and golden.
