Heart Pizza


  • 3 1/2 dl plain white flour
  • 1/4 pack dry yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 dl lukewarm water
  • 1/2 clove garlic
  • 1/4 x red onion
  • 1 x tomato
  • 2 tbsp fresh basil
  • 50 g mozzarella


  1. Make the pizza dough by mixing together flour, dry yeast, lukewarm water and salt in a bowl. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes and leave it to rise for 45-60 minutes.
  2. Make tomato sauce by cutting the garlic, red onion and tomato into cubes. Fry the red onion in a saucepan with olive oil until the onion turns soft. Then add the tomato, half of the basil leaves and a splash of water, and let it cook on low heat for about 20 minutes.
  3. Let the tomato sauce cool slightly before using a hand mixer to puree it all. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Roll out the pizza dough and shape it into a heart. Top with tomato sauce and mozzarella, and bake in the middle of the oven at 250 degrees for about 10-15 minutes. Add the remaining basil leaves just before serving.
