Clementine Jam with Christmas Spices!

ingredients

  • 4 x clementine
  • 6 tbsp sugar
  • 1 pinch cinnamon
  • 1 pinch ground cloves
  • 1/4 dl water

method

  1. Peel the clementines, and pull the slices apart.
  2. Add the clementine slices, sugar (make those six large tablespoons), cinnamon, cloves and water to a saucepan and simmer for about 45-60 minutes on low heat.
  3. With a fork, mash the clementine pieces until quite smooth. Sample the jam to determine whether it is sufficiently sweet or needs some more sugar. Allow the jam to cool completely before transferring to a sterilized jam jar.
  4. Enjoy the jam on toast, with cheese and crackers or use it in desserts.
