Chicken Burgers in Homemade Potato Buns

ingredients

  • 1 x potatoes
  • 4 dl plain white flour
  • 1/2 pack dry yeast
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 x eggs
  • 2 dl water
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 dl crème fraîche
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pizza seasoning
  • 1/2 x lemon
  • 150 g chicken breast
  • 1/2 pack rocket
  • 1/2 x red onion

method

  1. Boil the potatoes until soft, and mash them (preferably using leftover potatoes/mashed potatoes if you have any. You need about 1 dl leftover mashed potatoes per person.).
  2. Make the dough by mixing together the mashed potatoes with plain white flour, dry yeast, salt, eggs and water. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes.
  3. Sprinkle some flour on the kitchen counter and start shaping the dough into buns. Place the buns on a baking tray lined with baking paper, and let the buns rise for 45-60 minutes.
  4. Mince the garlic and add to a bowl with sour cream. Season with pizza seasoning, salt andre the juice of half a lemon.
  5. Bake the potato buns at 200 degrees celcius for about 10 minutes.
  6. Slice the chicken breast in half horizontally and cook in a frying pan with some oil or butter. Season with salt, pepper and pizza seasoning.
  7. Fill the potato buns with sour cream dressing, rocket, chicken and red onion.
  8. If you follow the weekly menu, set aside half of the potato buns. They will be used in another dinner.
