Beef Stew with Mashed Potatoes


  • 2 x potatoes
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 x red onion
  • 150 g entrecôte
  • 1 tbsp tomato puree
  • 1/2 x beef bouillon
  • 3 dl water
  • 1/2 tbsp butter


  1. Boil the potatoes.
  2. Cut the garlic and the red onion, and fry in a pan until the onion turn soft.
  3. Chop the entrecôte into bite size pieces and brown the meat together with the onion.
  4. Add the tomato puree and beef stock, and let simmer for about 15 minutes.
  5. Pour out the water from the potatoes, add butter, some salt and pepper and mash it all with a fork.
  6. Serve the stew with mash potatoes.
